Norway is a close friend and partner of Nigeria on so many important fronts including democratic and development ties, defense cooperation, security, trade, and cultural exchanges. From the arts to business to technology and growing commerce relationship, The Nordic-Nation is boosting People-to-People and Government –to Government ties with Nigeria.
In view of these, The Royal Embassy of Norway in Nigeria celebrated her 204 of Constitution Day anniversary in Nigeria in pomp and glamour. The occasion had rich cocktail receptions in Lagos on the 15th of May, 2018, and ended with a grand finale on the 17th of May, 2018 in Abuja.
The Ambassador, H.E (Mr.) Jens-Petter Kjemprud, a core developmentalist and Nigeria-growth partner, who led his diplomatic team, was on the ground at both events’ venues to welcome distinguished guests, business associates, friends, diplomats, friends and government representatives amongst many, who came in droves to celebrate with the Embassy and other Norwegians in the country.
Ambassador Kjemprud used the opportunity to further highlight the accomplishments and pursuits of the embassy in Nigeria and also assured of Nigeria and Norway embassy’s and country, commitments to a better and improved Nigeria.
The National Independence Day is celebrated by Norwegians worldwide on every 17th May, of the year; and for Norwegians’ in Nigeria, it was a time of home away from home, as they further had the opportunity and platform to further interact.
Also, the Embassy in conjunction with the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and Innovation in partnership with the Norwegian Seafood Council hosted the: “Nigeria and Norway business partnerships’ conference and cocktail reception in Lagos.
