EMBASSY OBSERVES 73rd ANNIVERSSARY IN NIGERIA

Indonesia embassy opens his gates and doors to distinguished diplomats and guests in Abuja, on August 17th, 2018, during its 73rd independence anniversary.

Its Ambassador, His Excellency (Mr.) Harry Purwanto was on the ground to warmly welcome the country partners and visitors’ cross-cutting members of the diplomatic community, top government circles, private organizations, friends of the embassy and others that came to grace the occasion.

The Indonesian-Nigerian relationship established over 50 years ago was founded on shared democratic values and ideals, strong partnership on trade, strengthened diplomatic ties, effective security alliances, and peace promotions and prosperity pursuits at all frontiers. Nigeria is the first Sub-Sahara nation to open a diplomatic relation with Indonesia, therefore deep mutual respect exists between both nations, and in view of this, despite the mourning mood of the Indonesians due to the Lombok earthquake, which claimed loss of lives, the embassy, on behalf of its nation marked its National Day in the country (though in a low-keyed manner to honor the Lombok victims).

The event, which had plenty to drink and eat further, provided a forum for integration and a prayer session for the nation’s development, expansion, and sustainability.

The Government and People of Nigeria and Nigerians felicitate with Indonesia on her 2018 National Day and prayed for continued success for years to come.

Acclaim Nigeria magazine exclusively covered the event.
