The High Commissioner, H.E. Md. Shameen Ahsan ended his busy day from the Lagos International Trade Fair 2019 with a dinner reception hosted by the Bangladesh High Commission at the Hall Room of Chamber House of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
At the opening of the dinner reception, the High Commissioner welcomed and thanked the invited guests for honouring his invitation within the shortest notice and amid their tight schedules.
Mr. Ahsan, met and interact with business and trade leaders, academics, member of the civil society, media, and Bangladesh community among others on Saturday,9 November 2019.
During the well attended reception dinner, the High Commissioner was able to brief the guests on Bangladesh, her development journey, policies & priorities of the government.
He further spoke on the prospects and potentials of the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Nigeria and the reasons to foster, sustain and fortify the overall economic relationship for bilateral gains.
As a media partner of Bangladesh, our Editor-in-Chief, Acclaim Nigeria Magazine, Mr. Olumide Ogunlade was an honor guest at the reception where he was giving the opportunity to give a remark and address the participants on the benefits they could derive from doing business with Bangladesh.
However,the media guru encouraged participants to read on its website the cover story done for Bangladesh in our new edition “Bangladesh: A Development Surprise” for more acquaintance on the giant stride the country has recorded within these few years which could also serve as a template for Nigeria’s growth.
The Editor encouraged business leaders present at the reception to visit Bangladesh to see things for themselves in order to explore areas of trade or business capable of extending their business empire to a new country which is the main reason behind the dinner and interaction.
Other dignitaries who also spoke at the event are the President, LCCI, Mr. Babatunde Ruwase and the Vice President, Nigeria-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, Commodore (Rtd), Jerome Z. Jattau, among others.
