STOP RACISM NOW
Racism as seen is a practice or belief that involves an ideology conceived that humans may be divided into different biological races and the belief centers on a link between inherited traits of personality, morals, cultural and behavioral features and also that a race with all aforementioned qualities at a higher standard and intellect is greater than any other race. Racism is as old as human existence and it has been part and parcel of life.Racism comes in different forms and every individual has his or her own perspective on racism.
A supporter had this to say “Humanity has been perpetually deceiving themselves for thousands of years in regards to this one self created human social construct. It is humanity who observed superficial differences in one another and then declared that different group a race. Humanity wrongly believes that when any person merely appears differently from them then they are of a different race of people. A different race which is typically less than they are or can be assumed to be superior. Either way these social perceptions are in error. These misconceptions are all perpetuated deceptions no matter how the leaders of your nation, religion or culture explain it.”
Racism has taken many shapes and can happen in many places. It includes prejudice, discrimination or hatred directed at someone because of their colour, ethnicity or national origin. People often associate racism with acts of abuse or harassment. However, it doesn’t need to involve violent or intimidating behavior. Take racial name-calling and jokes, or consider situations where people may be excluded from groups or activities because of where they come from or skin colour. Racism has been revealed through people’s actions as well as their attitudes. It has also been reflected in systems and institutions. But sometimes it may not be revealed at all. Not all racism is obvious. For example, someone may look through a list of job applicants and decide not to interview people with certain surnames or ethnicity.
Racism is more than just words, beliefs and actions. It includes all the barriers that prevent people from enjoying dignity and equality because of their race, country, background, country, belief of faith. Racism under-develops a system and this can be seen even in Africa. Africans are been discriminated against in many development fronts and gratefully many of them are standing up to fight against this anti-development vice and change the status quo. One of “Racism have been and will continue to have a negative effect on people as long as some people see themselves as supreme or lords over others.
The future is very narrow for anyone or people if racism go unchecked” several scenes have continued to pour out on various global media platforms on racism occurence and its negative outcomes. All hands must therefore be on deck to address this trend. All lives matters and all are equal before God.
Furthermore the world itself must form a stronghold of togetherness to condemn racism with one voice so as to avoid societal havoc’s which may procreate so many uncommon vices and unwarranted hositilities and thus foster peace and development.
