As part of Acclaim Nigeria International Magazine’s (ANIM) sustained commitment to diplomacy, development advocacy, and nation-building promotions across the globe, its Editor-in-Chief/CEO, Mr. Olumide Ogunlade, recently undertook a strategic Europe–UK outreach tour. This visit, the second in 2025, served as a follow-up to earlier engagements carried out by ANIM staff across several countries, reinforcing the organisation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and expand its global footprint.

With Ambassador Yakubu Dadu, Consul General, Nigeria Consulate General, Frankfurt, Germany
The tour covered prominent cities like Madrid, Lisbon, London, and Frankfurt, and was undertaken in furtherance of ANIM’s editorial and institutional mandate to deepen engagement with Nigerian diplomatic missions abroad, strengthen relationships with key Nigerian diaspora stakeholders, collaborate with other strategic global partners, and spotlight the ongoing growth and development trajectories of the host countries.

At each destination, the ANIM’s Boss had the honour of formally presenting its current publication to Nigerian Missions and relevant host country authorities and agencies, reaffirming its platform’s role as a bridge between policy, diplomacy, development discourse, and people-to-people engagement. These interactions provided valuable opportunities to exchange perspectives on Nigeria’s evolving global image, diaspora diplomacy, and the indispensable role of strategic communication in national development.

The Nigerian diplomatic missions in Madrid, Lisbon, London, and Frankfurt have also continued to demonstrate strong leadership and service in advancing Nigeria’s interests and supporting its citizens abroad.
In Madrid, the Embassy of Nigeria, led by experienced mission officers, has maintained robust engagement in consular services, trade facilitation, and community outreach, ensuring efficient support for Nigerians residing and doing business in Spain.

In Lisbon, the Nigerian Embassy plays a vital role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Portugal, particularly in trade, investment, and cultural relations, while providing essential consular services that protect and assist Nigerian nationals.
At the Nigerian High Commission in London, leadership has been pivotal in coordinating comprehensive consular, immigration, and diaspora engagement services. The mission actively promotes Nigeria’s socio-economic interests, facilitates investor relations, and supports the large Nigerian community through targeted initiatives and service improvements.
In Frankfurt, Nigerian consular leadership has been notable for enhancing mission operations and cultural diplomacy. The Consulate General has pioneered initiatives such as mission-led cultural events that enrich bilateral ties and elevate Nigeria’s profile.
Across these key European posts, Nigerian diplomats continue to uphold professionalism, deepen international partnerships, and ensure that the welfare and interests of Nigerians abroad remain central to their mission. Kudos for the Exemplary Leadership Across Nigerian Missions in Europe.
A Shared Responsibility for National Progress
One consistent theme across all engagements was the shared understanding that nation-building, global peace and progress are collective responsibilities, requiring synergy between governments institutions, the private sector, civil society, the media, and the diaspora community. Our platform remains committed to documenting these efforts, amplifying credible voices, and promoting constructive engagement that advances national interest.
